VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES - FEBRUARY 19, 2007

Deputy Mayor Russ opened budget meeting at 7:14 pm.

• Mayor Skeet addressed his concerns from the Grant meeting of January 9 regarding future expansion of the Sewer Plant, possible establishment of a Sewer District, and how and when we might be able to begin implementing such a thing.
• Clerk Thomas brought update on Road Runner vs. Frontier. Brief discussion was held and it was agreed to stick with decision to go ahead and set up Road Runner as previously decided.
• Some discussion was held regarding Accounting programs and software for the Clerk’s Office. Comparisons are being done between Harris, Williamson and KVS Information Systems. Clerk will be meeting with reps for demonstrations on all three systems and get price quotes from each for setting up Accounting and Payroll.
• Clerk presented information regarding possibility of replacing copy machine in office. Clerk will call Duplicating Consultants to have them do a service call and give an indication of the life expectancy of the current machine. Board discussed option of sending newsletters and large mailings out to Kinko’s vs. Clerk’s time to make copies in-house.
• Brief discussion was held regarding getting prices on a water cooler from BJ’s, and checking into the cost of bottled water delivery.
• Board was updated on Mayor Skeet having taken the Kubota and cleaning snow out from around the fire hydrants on Saturday. Kevin McCarthy was also called in on Saturday to do sidewalks and help with cleanup at the Sewer Plant. Aeration tanks overflowed. It was decided that Kevin’s overtime should be taken out of the Sewer budget for the Saturday work.
• Motion was made by Trustee Patterson and seconded by Trustee Peterson to adjourn meeting. Motion carried.    
• Meeting was adjourned at 8:17 pm.
