VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES - MARCH 28, 2006
Mayor Skeet opened Committee meeting at 6:59 pm.
Members present: Mayor Skeet, Trustees Russ, Peterson and Patterson. Trustee Steinberg was absent. Also present was Trustee-elect Tom Sobczak.

Budget was gone over from beginning with discussions held regarding possible areas to cut back. In the General Fund some slight cutbacks were made, including Clerk Treasurer contractual, Library Contractual and Maintenance Personal Service.
- Albert Graham of Valley River Inc. arrived at 8:12 pm and answered Board questions with regard to the Sewer budget.
- Maintenance Permanent improvements were discussed regarding the potential repaving of Maple Avenue. The drainage problems at the end of Maple Avenue by the Feed Mill and Murray’s was rehashed, and the concerns of Steve Stocking of the Town of Pembroke regarding the town plows having problems in that area were addressed. It was decided to budget $5000 extra in permanent improvements to utilize towards the repaving and tackle only major sidewalks issues. CHIPS funds will help to offset a portion of the work to be done.
- Brief discussion was held regarding placing ad for part-time Maintenance person. A committee of Trustees Russ and Sobczak was formed to establish a job description for the part-time maintenance position to be presented to the Board at the April 10th meeting. After review the ad will be placed in the newspaper for the position. It was determined by the Labor Attorney Jim Schmidt, after conferring with Attorney Disare, that there should be no problem changing the Maintenance position to a part time position. Mayor Skeet will be speaking with Attorney Schmidt to confirm.
- Mayor Skeet informed the Board he would not be able to attend the next Budget meeting scheduled for April 3rd as he would be out of town that week.
- Motion was made by Trustee Russ and seconded by Trustee Peterson to adjourn meeting. Motion carried.
- Meeting was adjourned at 9:27 pm.
