VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES - APRIL 3, 2006
Deputy Mayor Russ opened Budget meeting at 7:02 pm.
Members present: Deputy Mayor Russ, Trustees Patterson, Peterson and Sobczak. Mayor Skeet was absent.
- Clerk Treasurer Thomas gave Trustees a comparison sheet for the past 8 years to show the general and sewer revenues, appropriations and surplus used or gained. For the fiscal year 2005-2006, estimating the months of April and May, there should be a surplus of approximately $48,000 in the Sewer fund due to the transfer of the water funds to Sewer. Discussion was held regarding possibly setting up a higher interest short term investment fund for the surplus, to make it available for future Sewer capital improvements.
- Brief discussion was held regarding the Police department performance. New Board members were given an update on the history of the Police contract negotiations.
- Mayor Skeet called at 8:35 pm for an update on Budget meeting status.
- Motion was made by Trustee Peterson and seconded by Trustee Russ to go into executive session to discuss personnel issues at 8:40 pm. Motion carried.
- Motion was made by Trustee Patterson and seconded by Trustee Peterson to go out of executive session at 9:20 pm. Motion carried.
- Board was reminded to start thinking of ideas for Corfu family days. Trustee Patterson suggested looking into the use of the school property for the event. Board decided to begin discussing Family day at the committee meeting on April 24th.
- Motion was made by Trustee Russ and seconded by Trustee Peterson to adjourn meeting. Motion carried.
- Meeting was adjourned at 9:22 pm.
