VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES - MAY 30, 2006

Special meeting called to order by Mayor Skeet at 7:06 pm. Purpose of Special Meeting was to file 2005-2006 Fiscal Year Treasurers Report.

Members present: Mayor Skeet, Trustees Patterson, Sobczak and Russ. Trustee Peterson was absent. Also present: Court Clerk Taryn Vohwinkel, Village Historian Allan Starkweather, Residents Patricia Newton and Scott Lang.

• Motion made by Trustee Patterson and seconded by Trustee Sobczak to make the following transfer in the General Fund:
  • Transfer $117.00 from 1990.4 Contingency into 1420.4 Staff Law. Motion carried.
• Motion by Trustee Patterson & seconded by Trustee Sobczak to approve the Treasurer’s Report.

• Motion by Trustee Russ & seconded by Trustee Patterson to pay the above General and Sewer bills. Motion carried.
• Trustee Patterson gave a brief report on the Genesee County Multi-Jurisdictional All-Hazard Mitigation Plan meeting she attended on May 24, 2006 in Batavia. She mentioned that the county was being divided into three regions with Corfu being included in the Western Region. Regional meetings are being set up to determine security areas, possible natural disaster plans etc. the next County meeting is scheduled for June 28th and regional meeting will be setting up sometime in July.
• Corfu Family days portion of meeting began with discussion of possible hand outs for kids. The idea of Water bottles was discussed.
• Trustee Patterson reported that she had spoken with the recuiting office in Batavia, and the armed forces may be sending rep’s to the Family Day.
• The idea of presenting a plaque to the VFW honoring Veteran’s was discussed. Trustee Patterson said she would coordinate the Veteran tribute.
• Scott Lang reported that Ron Weiler is to meet with him regarding a possible tent and stage.
• Clerk presented a copy of a proposed Vendor form for approval. She will send copies with cover letter to all prospective vendors we have heard from so far.
• Clerk requested to attempt contact with Reptile man again.
• Brief discussion was held regarding donations and gifts for the Family Day.
• Motion was made by Trustee Russ and seconded by Trustee Patterson to adjourn meeting. Motion carried.
• Meeting was adjourned at 8:52 pm.
