VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES - JULY 29, 2006
Mayor Skeet opened special meeting to discuss Sewer Plant planning and infrastructure at 9:00 am.
Members present: Mayor Skeet, Trustees Patterson and Peterson.

Discussion was held regarding upgrades and possible expansion of the Wastewater Treatment plant to accommodate possible outside hook ups to our system. Financial data from Sewer budget was reviewed and discussed to begin establishing projected costs.
- Motion made by Trustee Russ and seconded by Trustee Peterson to adjourn meeting at 10:30 am. Motion carried.

VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES - JULY 31, 2006
Mayor Skeet opened special Corfu Family Day organizational meeting at 7:00 pm.
Members present: Mayor Skeet, Trustees Patterson, Peterson, Sobczak and Russ. Also present were: Village Historian Allan Starkweather, Patricia Newton from Potter Lumber and Dorothy Lawrence.
- Dorothy Lawrence interviewed Mayor Skeet for information for an article to run in the Batavia Daily News for the Family Day.
- Trustee Patterson updated the committee on veteran’s tribute. She has ordered 100 boutonnieres at a price of $1.00 each to present to all veteran’s present. They will be carnations tipped in blue or red with r,w & bl ribbons. If any are left over she suggested they be taken to Veterans hospital. Trustee Patterson also said she has prepared a tribute to last approx. 10 minutes. It was decided to have the Veterans tribute immediately following the Kiddie Parade at 4:15.
- Trustee Patterson said small water bottles have been ordered for the participants of the Kiddie Parade and arrangements have been made for inflating and picking up the balloons from the Mercantile Dollar Store.
- She also said she was not able to get to the plaque for Jack Schollard, so clerk will follow up on that from Mortellaro’s in Batavia. Wording for the plaque was discussed.
- Advertising for the event was discussed. Clerk mentioned Shelly from Akron-Corfu Pennysaver was coming in on August 1st to pick up information and photos for an article for coming weekend issue. Ads for Daily News were discussed and it was suggested to put one ad in this coming weekend Drummer and one ad in the Daily News on Friday just prior to the event. Trustee Sobczak mentioned that he spoke with John Lamond and Mr. Lamond will do Public Service announcements on his radio program during the week prior to the event.
- Clerk brought up need for PA system, especially if Trustee Patterson planned to do tribute to Veterans. Trustee Russ said he has a microphone that could be used and Trustee Sobczak has an amplifier that can be used.
- Mayor Skeet informed the Board that a 20’x40’ tent and 8’x20’ stage have been lined up with Ron Weiler. He also informed the Board about T-Shirts for committee members that have been ordered.
- Meeting moved to Maple Avenue at 8:00 pm. Dorothy Lawrence took a photo of the Trustees for the Daily article and left.
- Board members took measurements in several areas to begin planning placement of various booths.
