VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES - AUGUST 10, 2006
NOTE: On Thursday August 3, 2006 Mayor Skeet contacted Trustees Peterson, Sobczak and Russ for verbal approval to purchase a canopy tent measuring 10’ x 20’ from K-Mart for the price of $159.99 for use at Corfu Family Days and for future use for Road checks and DWI Road Checks. All Trustees contacted approved the purchase. Trustee Patterson was out of town.
Mayor Skeet opened special Corfu Family day meeting at 7:10 pm.
Members present: Mayor Skeet, Trustees Peterson, Patterson and Sobczak. Also present were Pat Newton from Potter Lumber, Richard Doktor of the VFW, Village Historian Al Starkweather, Resident Scott Lang, and Heidi of the Landmark Hotel.

Family Day t-shirts were handed out to committee members. Trustee Patterson showed the water bottles to be given to the children participating in the Kiddie Parade.
- Heidi from the Landmark said the Landmark planned on selling pizza and wings at the event.
- It was decided the committee would meet at the Village Office at 12:00 noon on Saturday August 12 to load tables and chairs, then meet at Maple Avenue for set up.
- Clerk Thomas was requested to e-mail Tim Yaeger of the County to confirm the communications vehicle.
- Mayor Skeet requested a can be made up for Mercy Flight donations.
- Clerk Thomas was requested to contact Mortellaro’s to have the wording on the plaque for Jack Schollard corrected to “timeless” service.
- The committee agreed to the purchase of small bottles of bubbles to give out to the children.
- Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm.
