VILLAGE BOARD SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES - NOVEMBER 22, 2005

Mayor Skeet opened emergency meeting at 7:19 pm. Purpose of Emergency meeting to discuss resignation of Deborah Graham as Court Clerk.

Members present: Mayor Skeet, Trustees Vogler, Russ, Steinberg and Peterson. Also present Judge Robert Alexander.

• Judge Alexander expressed his regret over Ms. Graham’s resignation and praised her dedicated service. He will miss her. He reminded the Board that a new hire must be a Village resident. If opt not to hire new, it falls back on the court. Judge Alexander expressed hope that the following would happen:
  That the Board and Court would both be involved in the process.
  Consider potential for full time in the future during process.
  Recommended salary
  Judge Alexander said he would be glad to help out during this time.
• Motion was made by Trustee Russ and seconded by Trustee Steinberg to go into executive session at 7:31 pm. Motion carried.
• Motion was made by Trustee Vogler and seconded by Trustee Steinberg to go out of executive session at 8:10 pm. Motion carried.
• Motion was made by Trustee Russ and seconded by Trustee Peterson to accept Deborah Graham’s resignation. Motion carried unanimously.
  Motion was made by Trustee Steinberg and seconded by Trustee Vogler to pay Deborah Graham $7,545.09 for her unused time. Motion carried unanimously.
• Board approved advertising in Batavia Daily for the Part-time Justice Court position. It should note that e-mail resumes would be accepted at thomas@corfuny.com.
• Motion was made by Trustee Vogler and seconded by Trustee Steinberg to cancel the committee meeting on December 26, 2005. Motion carried.
• Trustee Peterson briefly discussed his court research and gave preliminary suggestions for goals and objectives.
• Motion was made by Trustee Peterson and seconded by Trustee Russ to adjourn at 8:29 pm. Motion carried.
